All Bottled Up
Um, excuse me, Kelly? Hey, I just wanted to tell you... What do you mean "who am I?" I'm Brad! From Accounting? I sit behind you in the morning morale meeting. Yeah, for like two and a half years now. Really.
So, uh, like I was saying, I thought that sales presentation was really awesome. Those pie charts were, like, so rad. Really, I mean it. You're like totally the best team member ever, for real. So yeah, um, here's a little something to show my, uh, department's appreciation. I mean, obviously, 'cause doing this kind of thing on a personal level would be against office policy. But, well, I picked it out. Just so you know.
Anyway, you do like wine, right? 'Cause if you don't, I can totally take it... Oh cool. Yeah, uh, it's a bottle of Toolbox Cabernet Sauvignon. It's sort of an old-world style Cabernet, you know. Not that I'm a wine nerd or anything. I just thought you might like something a little less "in your face" than other Cabs or, say, guys from Marketing you're dating. Might be dating, I mean. 'Cause, I mean, I don't, like, know. Obviously, duh.
But when you get home, you should totally try it and, you know, try to focus on the dusty, earthy nose with hints of dark cherry and plum notes, as well as the lean structure. I don't want to give anything away, but there might be a hidden meaning in the hints of mint and anise on the palette that give way to a finish of dried blueberry and strawberry. There are a lot of layers to explore, just like with someone you know. Someone you're very close to. Proximity-wise, I mean. Just now.
Oh, of course, you need to go. Sorry. I should've figured you and the popular employees have big lunch plans or something. Uh, well, I guess I'll see you around, maybe? And, you know, let me know how you like the wine at the next meeting! Or in an email! That works, too! Whatever's best for you!
Features
2009 Toolbox Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma Valley 750ml 5-Pack
This is an old-world style Cabernet, with a dusty, earthy nose that opens up to dark cherry and plum notes in the glass. Toolbox calls this a "Cab for Pinot Noir lovers." Why? Because they didn't macerate the skins as long and it's leaner in structure versus an "in your face Cabernet." This wine exhibits multiple layers, allowing you to get something new with each swirl and taste. There are hints of mint and anise that tease the palette, giving way to a finish of dried blueberry and strawberry.
