Don’t say it, Gary. Don’t you dare say it.
You are so embarrassing, you know that?
“The truth is I love to drink it!”
Stop it.
“All through this Wine Days festival tasting…”
Will you stop it? I get it. It’s a Passo Doble Masi Tupungato 2009 Argentinean Malbec 6-Pack. It’s an Argentinian wine. I know. You don’t have to get all Andrew Lloyd Webber on me.
“Please keep your promise, don’t keep your distance!”
Believe me, I’m wishing I could keep more distance between us.

Oenological practices developed in the Veneto regarding viticulture, winemaking techniques and wine style can be exported and adapted wherever the natural and cultural location proves to be suitable. This is the philosophy that has lead Masi to Argentina, where excellent results have been obtained in the Tupungato Valley of the Mendoza region. In the "Vigneti La Arboleda" estate, alongside the vineyards of Argentina's flagship grapes, Malbec, Torrontés, and other vineyards have been planted with traditional varieties from the Venetian regions and Masi specialty techniques, such as appassimento (laying grapes out to dry) and double fermentation, have been adopted for reds here too, thanks to the favorable climate. The wines combine the generous, firm and exuberant nature of Argentina with the relaxed, elegant and cordial style of wines from the Veneto. The vineyards have been adapted to the special needs of grapes from Verona with an innovative system of irrigation and humidification. The vinification cellars combine the familiar winery facilities of the Venetian region with the architectural style of the New World.
