Hi. Welcome to the Wine Woot-Off. In the music festival of Woot-Offs, you'd be in the downtempo/lounge tent right now. You'd be sitting on a very large bean bag. You'd probably wanna put a towel down first. Enjoy the show.
Features
2013 Laberinto Malbec, Mendoza 750ml 6-Pack
From the mysterious South American continent comes a grape variety grown extensively in Mendoza. It has pizzazz, just like the Argentinians themselves. The Malbec grape has for generations been blended into some of the finest Bordeaux style wines in the world, yet on its own Malbec creates an inky, full bodied, fruit forward wine. Twelve months in oak gives this wine even greater texture & complexity. Weave your way through the labyrinth of wines and varietals that are available on the shelf today, and settle on the "LABERINTO" (Labyrinth). This is the jewel at the center of the maze.
This Malbec is a deep red color with violet flashes. The nose possesses notes of plums with aromas of raspberries and figs; subtle hints of soft tobacco and vanilla are noticeable as well. On the palate is a sweet beginning that leads to a creamy mid-palate and a long lasting finish. Superb tannins standout, giving a great velvet body to the wine. Best paired with red meat, roasts and pasta.
Fruit for this wine comes from 22 year old vines. It was harvested during the first week of April, 2013. It was barrel aged for 12 months in a blend of American and French oak.
