ugh, not another "national [whatever] day." you know, these non-holidays seem like little more than a shtick perpetuated by marketers to leverage "zeitgeisty" promotional opportunities. it's just about hashtags and contrived - wait, did you say "national wine day?"

Alder Ridge Vineyard: First planted in 1997, Alder Ridge is one of the state's most coveted vineyards, on a rolling plain set atop a steep bluff above the Columbia River. Natural wind and air drainage protects the vines from the dramatic weather changes, both in the summer and winter. Alder Ridge is known for exceptional long hang time, with a moderating effect of the river on summer heat spikes and winter freezes, giving the Cabernet for which the vineyard is known tougher skins and firm tannins.
