Features
2007 Petite Sirah, Vineyard Blend 750ml
This wine showcases the best of two California appellations. The Central Coast portion of this blend offers spice both in the nose and palate. The Sierra Foothills’ vineyard contributes the black fruit characteristics, while lending structure and perfume.
2007 Petite Sirah, Paso Robles 750ml
The signature blueberry nose of Ursa Vineyard's Shell Creek Petite is once again present in this vintage. The European oak offers a subtle cinnamon/black pepper spice. As Shell Creek is one of the oldest petite vineyards in California, the tannins are mature and well integrated to the juicy palate.
2007 Petite Sirah, Sierra Foothills 750ml
In the nose we find blackberry/cherry fruit with a touch of anise in the background. Lots of cherries in the mouth. The palate is tannic without losing elegance, which is typical of this vineyard.
2007 Tannat, Lodi
Tannat is a varietal not so commonly found in the United States. It’s grown primarily in the Pyrenees and South America and is used as the base of many Basque wines. Ursa vineyards' comes from Silvaspoons Vineyards in Alta Mesa, one of the few vineyards in California growing this intriguing grape. Ripe plum, Worcester & a hint of pork skin in the nose. Ripe fruit nose turns to bright fruit flavors. Not as tannic as previous vintages but still firm. Tannat offers the highest amount of antioxidants of all the vinifera.
