2007 Lang Wines Dessert Wine, Aprés 750ml 4-Pack
Port grape varieties from Portugal have found an ideal home in California’s Sierra Foothills. Warm dry summers, cool evenings & consistently long growing seasons develop the dark fruit, complex ripeness, rich structure and body required to balance the alcohol and residual sugar that define a great Port.
As the Federal TTB, in its infinite wisdom, no longer permits California Wineries to include the word ‘Port’ on a label, and the approved designation ‘dessert wine’ sounds cheap and somewhat deprecating, Lang Wines decided to call theirs 'Apres!' as in 'after,' after dinner, after skiing, after…well, you know, after almost anything. This port-style wine is ready to enjoy now and will continue to improve and maintain for many years. By itself a great dessert, or use to poach a pear, as a companion to coffee, or as an anytime indulgence. Apres!
