2007 Lang Wines Amador County Barbera – Oakmont Vineyards 750ml 3-Pack
Lang's 2007 Barbera has aromas of vanilla, bacon, cedar and sweet tart blackberry jam. Fruit-driven flavors follow, made bright with bursts of pomegranate and chocolate. Very well balanced, the juicy finish is long and lingering.
2010 Barbera, Amador County, Oakmont Vineyards 750ml 3-Pack
Although long described as Zinfandel Country, the true superstar varietal in Amador County (and the Sierra Foothills as a region) is proving to be Barbera. Both incredibly tasty and amazingly versatile, the 2010 Lang Barbera is sure to please the whole crowd and pair beautifully with a wide range of foods. This exceptional vintage exudes aromas of blackberries, plum, and coffee accented with hints of licorice and mint. Full bodied on the palate with wonderfully integrated tannins, it expresses flavors of raspberry and cranberry with some toasty overtones. The wine finishes elegantly with a lingering aftertaste of black cherry and pepper.
