Better Than The Bad Jokes
You know that one friend? That one friend who loves to make the most terrible puns? We know it's a gentleman friend, because that's just how puns work. So here's your chance to finally show him up in a single sentence: "Can I get you a cab, syrah?"
Now, don't think you're wasting money on a joke or anything. These two wines are delicious, and are worthy additions to any wine rack out there. The 2011 Colossus Syrah is a raspberry explosion that was bottled at just the correct time, and the 2010 Zeppelin Winery Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon begins with cherries and ends with spices and clove. The very thing you'll enjoy as the winter months begin to move in and your palate craves something dark and fruity.
But, again, you're not just ordering it for the taste. You're ordering it so you can finally bring that jerkface to his knees. Remember the time he saw a bicycle against a fence and said "That can't run because it's two-tired!" Or the time he saw a chicken walking and called it "poultry in motion" and made your little sister cry? Face it, he deserves the pun slam. And then you can drink a celebration toast to yourself.
Features
2011 Colossus Syrah, Paso Robles 750ml
This wine has been a dense raspberry bomb with full mouthfeel and a very long finish from the very beginning. The reassurance of a couple of young hotshots that he wouldn't name pushed winemaker, Stillman Brown, to follow his instincts and bottle early.
2010 Zeppelin Winery Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml
Nose of blackberry, black currants, cherry, plum, and violets with hints of earth, cedar and clove; full rich palate starts with cherry and fine tannins. The mouthfeel shows moderate acidity and relative smoothness for such a big young wine. The palate is less spicy than the nose until the wine opens up; it has a long finish with the same elements as the nose with dried cherries, plum and clove dominant.

Zeppelin Winery is a very small producer of super premium wines, based on the Central Coast of California. Founded in 2009 by winemaker Stillman Brown of Red Zeppelin Winery and wine veteran Dan Lewis (he's the office guy) we produce tiny lots of Syrah and other misunderstood varietals, with almost invariably insane labels. Most can only be purchased directly, but once in a while they emerge into the light of day.
