The Dance
Okay, okay, everyone gather up. We're off to a good start but this isn't... well, it's bursting, but it's not bursting vertically, you know? So I'm going to make some small changes to get you bottles in the right order. Pay attention.
So, on "three" I want you, 2003 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, to come up to the front. Tight but plush, okay? Let them remember your aftertaste long after you've gone. You're a toasty oak with black fruit. Let it flow.
2004 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, you'll be on "four" so come in crisp and concentrated. Don't worry about the black cherries, the tannins will support you just fine. Focus on the finish, the lengthy finish. You're a 25th anniversary bottling extravaganza and this is your time to shine. Forget the past. Live in the now! Okay? Okay.
"Five" is for you, darling, my 2005 Napa Valley Cabernet. Stick out that rose hip and wiggle that full and juicy plum. Roll it out, steady but smooth. Rrrrolllll. And drop.
On "Six" I want you to step out, 2006 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Keep that dark and brooding feel, build up the dark chocolate. Move like you're lingering, let it drizzle flavor all over the stage. Then everyone to the center and leap. "Vertical!" Just like that. Okay, have we got it?
Perfect. Places, then. And... three, four, five, six!
Well, it's still early yet. Maybe we can push back the opening.
