The 2008 Shake Ridge Zinfandel hails from the great Sierra Foothills. It's full of flavors that can only be found from the rich rocky soils way up high in the hill. You will taste ripe cherries and dark blackberries with moderate tannins and a balanced acidity. This wine is great with food or alone; it has a moderate tannin and balanced acidity and is a pleasure to drink.
Deep dark garnet color; this wine fills the nose with aromas of raspberry, strawberries hints of vanilla cream and white pepper. Nice balanced acidity with moderate tannins and a nice short finish. The mouth is filled with flavors of red fruits and undercurrents of tobacco, cedar cigar box.

Vino D’Angelo was born in 2006 after a conversation with his friend and long-time winemaker, Derek Irwin. Dan’s instinctive knowledge of the nearby county’s terrain helped him find superior grapes grown from vines sprouting out of top-quality soil. The combination of choosing the right grapes and brilliant winemaking led to the first vintage release in 2007, and Vino D’Angelo’s flame has been flickering ever since.
