Chard at Play
Mellow out. Hang loose. Chillax. Whichever era's horribly dated euphemism for relaxation you prefer, this sixer of Upstream Wines Chardonnay will efficiently facilitate that eventuality, dude.
It's not gonna butter up your palate with obnoxious oak. It's just Chard being Chard, dig? A nose of citrus and green apple, tastes of honey and pineapple, and thou. That's how it do.
With all due respect to Frankie, the Upstream Wines Chardonnay says "Relax, yes do it." And if you're getting all uptight wondering exactly what that means, man, you need a glass most of all.
Features
Aromas: Pear, green apple and citrus.
Palate: Pineapple, green apple with hints of honey and citrus.
Cellaring: Pressed on the day of harvest sent into stainless steel vats for cold fermentation. This chardonnay is slowly fermented and cold filtered over the winter.
Vineyard: The vines are grown in the Delta, about 60 miles from San Francisco Bay. The water table sitting at three feet of depth keeps the vines from over growing in the rich delta soil. The delta breeze cools the vines every evening and the warm sun ripens the fruit during the day.

Watts wine is more than just an open bottle, a sniff, a swirl and taste. There's a devotion to quality and excellence. And it starts with the grape, from the Mokelumne, Delta or Clements appellations. It's also about our constant devotion to the environment, making sure the natural habitat isn't disturbed; we're very particular about the environment, about the ecology and Mother Nature. We appreciate and love Mother Nature.
There is a statement made with each bottle of Watts Wine, and it carries over with each sip you take, each time you inhale the aromas of that just-opened bottle and ponder the bouquet of fragrances; it’s a statement of quality without compromise.
That quality was born four generations ago and today, with every bottle we make and every bottle of Watts Wine you buy, that proud heritage is there. With a dedication to quality and a lot of hard work, we built a reputation for producing some of the finest grapes in the California wine industry. Understanding the vines and what it takes to bring out the best flavors has established Watts Winery’s reputation. Today, we offer many different varietals of award-winning wine.
We hope you enjoy drinking Watts Wine as much as we enjoy making it for you.
