It’s so bad we might have to explain it to you. Seriously? Syrah-iously? Yeah, we know, it’s awful. We owe you an apology.
So all we can do is offer this 2009 Ty Caton Petite Syrah Two Pack. It’s much better than our joke here, really, it is. It’s inky black (like our ashamed souls) and tastes of blackberries and subtle mint. There’s toasty oak and black fruit in there too, and it has a much better finish than the one we’ve got coming in our writeup.
Oh, yes, we can hear them talking in the lobby. They’re saying “Hmmm, maybe we don’t need the guy who writes the wine writeups for the Woot-Off. Maybe that could save us an extra twenty dollars a year.” Well, we’re sorry, we’re real sorry we can’t be as wonderful as the 2009 Ty Caton Petite Syrah Two Pack. We’re also sorry we can’t speak about ourselves in the singular voice. It’s just something we picked up at camp that one summer.
