Wine.Woot purchases now bypass your cart entirely! This means you gotta buy Wine.Woot items on their own, using your Amazon Payments account. You can't mix 'em up with stuff from our other sites. This cowboy's ridin' solo.

Be aware that anything in your cart from the other Woot sites is still out there and looking forward to your return. We'd hate for anything to sell out while you're reading this.

You missed it! But Today's Woot is waiting!

Drink One In The Cotton Patch

A good glass of wine is like a mini-skirt: only scandalous when it ends too early. That's why this Cabernet comes in a two-pack!

I want to tell you all a story, 'bout two Russian River Valley wines
The first is from 2010 the other one comes from '09
They come from Tara Bella, that's the Estate with the winery
And I should probably tell you here that they're both Russian River Cabernet

The twenty ten is deep and rich and full of cherry that is ripe
That ol' two thousand nine is like a ruby, boy, does it shine
And it is tart and fruity, with blackberry jam out on display
The kind of thing you'd hope to find in Russian River Cabernet

As it happens, we've decided we don't really want to make you choose
We bet you'll be surprised when you discover that you'll be getting bottles two
You'll walk one to your wine rack, where you'll find it again one day
And still you'll have one extra bottle of a lovely Cabernet

Have over your pal Bobby, doesn't even matter what's the date
That chick you know named Taylor, you can watch old movies until late
Maybe give one to your baker, he'll make you the best bread in town
Or you maybe you're just jonesing for a night reading, under goose down

This Cabernet, we'll make it clear, ends with the word Sauvignon
We should have said that earlier, we're sorry we went on so long
But we hope you have the nerve to go and push that button and commit
We think this two-pack suits your taste and recommend you go for it

No, we wouldn't lead you on, we love the Tara Bella Wine-er-ay
Even if we say it wrong to help us rhyme with Cabernet

2010 Tara Bella Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Russian River Valley 750ml
At first sight, the intense deep rich color of vintage red velvet and dark heritage roses seem to dance in your glass.  The aroma is gentle but focused with fine notes of green olive & truffle. A hint of smokiness greets your senses for a lasting impression. Ripe cherry with subtle layers of leather, tobacco and cocoa laced with mocha gives this wine a richness that fills your mouth with velvety lusciousness, echoing elegant tannins and a brooding finish.
2009 Tara Bella Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Russian River Valley 750ml
It is like a bright ruby with glistening ridges and scarlet edges was poured into the glass.  With each breath, a deep toasted oak and cedar is supported by black currant and seasoned with black pepper and vanilla.  The cheerful flavor adds hints of violets and an earthy structure only to be balanced by cedar, oak, and blackberry jam.  The delicate mouthfeel and tart finish brings happiness when consumed alone or with a meal.

Tara Bella

Wendy & Kevin Morrow
Russian River Valley, Sonoma County
Since 1986, Kevin and Wendy Morrow have had a dream of owning a small family winery in Sonoma County. Kevin has been receiving awards since he started learning to make wine 27 years ago.
In 1995, Kevin & Wendy’s friends, Rich and Tara were fortunate to locate and secure 8 acres of virgin, undeveloped land, nestled in the beautiful rolling hills of the Russian River Valley. The property was surrounded by lush vineyards owned or contracted by some of Sonoma and Napa’s finest wineries. In 1998, they committed themselves to building an Estate winery and vineyards by planting Clone 4 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon on the west 3 acres. Then in 2005, they planted Clone 7 Estate Cab to the east 3 acres.
In 2010, having wanted to retire for many years, Rich and Tara approached Kevin and Wendy with an offer “they couldn’t refuse”, to continue the legacy. Kevin adheres to making wine, beautifully handcrafted, the “old fashioned” way. He believes that great wines are made in the vineyard.
Kevin and Wendy, along with their youngest son, Dillon, do all the work themselves.  All of the vintages are aged in French Oak for 22 months and then bottle aged a few more. There is no blending here. Every bottle is 100% estate grown single vineyard. This might be the reason for the 14 gold and 2 double gold medals on past vintages. Kevin takes the wine from the bud to the bottle. Every bottle is numbered, and Dillon has beautifully hand waxed each one.
