Wine.Woot purchases now bypass your cart entirely! This means you gotta buy Wine.Woot items on their own, using your Amazon Payments account. You can't mix 'em up with stuff from our other sites. This cowboy's ridin' solo.
Be aware that anything in your cart from the other Woot sites is still out there and looking forward to your return. We'd hate for anything to sell out while you're reading this.
Why buy a 12-pack of wine? To add some consistency to your calendar, of course.
Each month is different from the one before it. Whether it's a holiday, your birthday, or an anniversary, each month has its own special meaning.
Because every month is so unique, it's nice to have a little bit of consistency in your calendar, so if you order one of these 12-packs of 2007 Renwood "Red Label" Viognier, you'll have that consistency you so desire.
Despite the hectic events that come and go with the changing of the seasons, the comings and goings of sports calendars, the different local town events and gatherings, you'll have the Kiwi fruit, Guava, and Pomelo aromas you know, and a palate of Granny Smith apples, yellow grapefruit, and pineapple that you can depend on.
The 2007 Viognier displays aromas of Kiwi fruit, Guava and Pomelo. On the palate, the wine is crisp, with a medium texture and flavors of Granny Smith apples, yellow grapefruit, and pineapple. A crisp finish makes this wine very food friendly and the lingering tartness helps balance the wine. While primarily from the Lodi Appellation and the Mohr-Fry Ranch, a small amount of Sierra Foothill Semillon wine was included in the final blend. It has an attractive pale green color and is great with food or on its own. The wine is again packaged in the traditional Rhone bottle; wider with a gently sloped shoulder.
Vintage: The growing season of 2007 probably reflects what climate change has in store for us. There was half the normal rainfall, the snow pack was pitiful, and there were large swings in temperature especially around harvest. Ripening was uneven and heat spikes actually delayed harvesting as the vines shut down in the heat instead of ripening. Longer hang time was needed to help even out the grape sugars.
Melodie Hilton of Renwood Winery shares why you can’t say no to this Lodi Viognier.

A small percentage of Semillon helps round out the wine and give some body in the mid palate. After fermentation all lots were blended and then the wine remained in stainless steel until bottling.
