The Beard and The Wonderful
Just how weird are we? A typical day in the life of a weird Portlander goes like this: He wakes up in the morning … TO AN ALARM CLOCK!
He gets ready for work … probably doesn’t shave, because many of our male residents possess beards … AGAIN, WEIRD!
Then he waits in our weirdly awful traffic until he gets to his workplace, which is undoubtedly teeming with WEIRD! He might even have lunch from a truck – OH, DID I JUST BLOW YOUR MIND?!
He finishes his workday, meets his WEIRD buddies at one of our many WEIRD watering holes, then he goes home! What a way of life! Sure, it’s unconventional, but that’s how we do it, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
Me? What part of Portland am I from? Just north of the city. A little town called Seattle. Why do you ask?
Features
Today, we're proud to make the 90 Point Portlandia Pinot Pack available on Wine.Woot. It’s literally the first and only (exclusive) place in the world to buy our 2012 Portlandia Pinot.
Peaceful, concerned, edgy wine from the famous grape growing region of Oregon. These idealistic wines demand your attention with depth and drinkability for every occasion. What makes portlandia special is its view on life—play hard, work later—like only an Oregonian can understand. Cheers!
2011 Portlandia Oregon Pinot Noir 750ml
This Pinot Noir exhibits jammy strawberries, spicy Morello cherries and a touch of pipe tobacco. The soft mouth finish pairs well with lighter braised meat dishes or a wild mushroom risotto and grated parmesan cheese. It’s ready to drink now or can be aged for five years.
2012 Portlandia Oregon Pinot Noir 750ml
Aromas of jammy Morello cherries, ripe strawberries, Mexican cinnamon, and a touch of pipe tobacco. Aromas repeat as flavors on the palate with light tannins. Balanced with a nice long cherry finish. While the wine can be consumed now, it will mature and develop beautifully with 2-6 years of aging.
2013 Portlandia Oregon Pinot Gris 750ml 2-Pack
Aromas of Granny Smith apples, Anjou pears, ripe Meyer lemons with light floral and clove notes. Aromas repeat on the palate, with a lingering, crisp medium-long finish. A classic Oregon style Pinot Gris. The crisp acidity of this wine will pair beautifully with fresh Dungeness crab and roasted garlic butter. Drink now.

Winemaker Judy Thoet hand-selected wine lots predominantly from Larkin Vineyard (between Amity and Dallas, Oregon). Within the effects of the Van Duzer Corridor, this site gets cool breezes from the Pacific during the hot summer months. This affects ripening by allowing for a longer hang-time in the vineyard while maintaining balanced acidity and full maturity of the berries with flavors and complexity that we all love.
