Shaw. Philip Shaw.
He is a rare breed: a warrior in the field and in the ballroom, never afraid to get his hands dirty, yet dapper and good with the ladies. They say that it took the Agency twenty years to find him, and it was another twenty years before he was fully trained.
After putting in his time taking missions in the field, the Agency moved him to a laboratory, where he worked to develop new, secret WMDs: Weapons of Mass Deliciousness. Many considered his finest work to be 2006 Merlot Cabernet Franc Cabernet.
All one had to do was a drop a bottle in the enemy’s quarters, and then uncork and pour to detonate. From there, the device would take its victim by surprise with its intense yet elegant nose full of bright, sweet Cabernet Franc fruit; its clean, precise and powerful expression of dark berry fruit flavors; and its subtle savoriness.
The lovely softness of the Merlot on the front palate could seduce even the most evil villain and by the time the tannin from the Cabernet Sauvignon on the back palate set in – along with the good acid balance – they’d be in such a happy state that they’d give up the coordinates to a secret lair or reveal the agenda of a politician they’d bribed without barely any prodding at all. It was truly a game-changer in the world of espionage.
Of course, all of this is highly-classified information, and Shaw will most-likely deny it all of if you ask him, claiming to be just a winemaker with a vineyard in Koomooloo. But now you know the truth.
