Wine.Woot purchases now bypass your cart entirely! This means you gotta buy Wine.Woot items on their own, using your Amazon Payments account. You can't mix 'em up with stuff from our other sites. This cowboy's ridin' solo.

Be aware that anything in your cart from the other Woot sites is still out there and looking forward to your return. We'd hate for anything to sell out while you're reading this.

You want to get the message right when you're selling a good Nicolaysen Family wine.

Hey, Chris. Thanks for meeting with us. No, that's okay; we don't need to see any more spec art for the ad campaign. Actually, that's why we called. We've actually decided to go with a different creative firm for this.

Now, Chris. It's nothing against you; we're just looking for something a bit more direct and informative. We really want to sell people on the 2003 Nicolaysen Family Vineyards Late Harvest Pinot Blanc's flavors of Crème Brûlée with orange zest, spice, apricot, fig, butter, French toast, caramelized orange glaze, and vanilla bean. Or the 2002's never-ending, cascading effect - which earned it a score of 94 from Wine Enthusiast, we might add!

So, just saying, "a little bit of the Nicolaysen Family in every bottle" doesn't really convey much of that, does it, Chris? In fact, it kinda sounds a little murder-y. And that's really not what we're going for.

In a never-ending, cascading effect, flavors of Crème Brûlée accented with island spice, apricot and fig-butter fill your palate. Notes of Grand Marnier and brown sugar accented with vanilla bean make this wine a truly delightful experience.

Winery Details

PasoPort Wine Co.

Owner:
Steve & Lola Glossner
Location:
Paso Robles, CA
PasoPort is a small family-owned winery dedicated to producing fine, fortified dessert wine. The winegrowing region of Paso Robles is an untapped and, in our opinion, ideal location for making this style of wine.

So, why exclusively produce just Port-style wines? Owner’s Steve and Lola Glossner share in the day-to-day operations of this small family owned winery.  Steve has over a decade of experience producing wines from within the Paso Robles appellation. As a present day wine consultant, Steve is involved with a number of different winery owners producing a broad range of table wines. With his immersion in all these different programs, producing dessert wines for his own label provides Steve an important creative outlet while not competing with any of the wines he produces for his clients. Besides, making fortified dessert wines is a heck of a lot more fun!

Top Comments are discussion forum posts we have deemed worthy of your time. Listen, we get a lot of comments, and most of the time, it's pretty forgettable stuff; but sometimes you rise to the top like butterfat in milk. We don't recommend you base your self-worth on how often we feature your comments, but we don't expressly forbid it either.
