All-New All-Different Wine.Woot Details

Wine.Woot purchases now bypass your cart entirely! This means you gotta buy Wine.Woot items on their own, using your Amazon Payments account. You can't mix 'em up with stuff from our other sites. This cowboy's ridin' solo.

Be aware that anything in your cart from the other Woot sites is still out there and looking forward to your return. We'd hate for anything to sell out while you're reading this.

You missed it! But Today's Woot is waiting!

The scariest thing about this wine is an empty bottle.

"So tell me again what you think happened to you that night."

Well, I was just sitting there in my car off Old Route C, when all of a sudden, there was a flash of blinding light and … I'm sorry, this is really hard.

"It's fine. Just take your time."

The next thing I knew, I woke up, and I was strapped down on a table. And the smell. Oh the smell. I'll never be able to forget it.

"Antiseptic? Formaldehyde?"

Red fruit and spice.

Like raspberry, herbs, and maybe a touch of mint. It was terrifying.

"OK. I think we're done here."

No wait, that's not all. There was also … OH GOD.

"Go on. Whenever you're ready."

There was also … a wisp of pepper and a nose of big, dark fruits. Like something that would be great paired with a slow-cooked stew. It was awful. JUST awful.

"I gotta tell ya, it doesn't sound awful. It sounds like a really nice glass of wine."

I haven't told you about the probing.

2009 Martian Ranch Grenache 750ml 3-Pack

With a deep dark yet vibrant red color this Grenache starts off with aromas of red fruit and spice.  Leading off the front palate with bright acidity and hints of red fruit.  Subtleties of raspberry, herbs and a touch of mint finish things off. Almost any sort of grilled meat will be enhanced by eating it with some Grenache in your glass. The  variety also likes spice, so sausage, slow-cooked stews, and any dish with paprika or ground arbol chilies will bring out the best in the wine (and vice-versa).

2009 Martian Ranch Syrah, Santa Ynez Valley 750ml 3-Pack

A nose of  big dark fruits with a wisp of  pepper and herbs. Dark, earthy and meaty on the palate with dark red fruit and a dusting of spice. This wine is rich and balanced.

Grenache is the most polymorphic of grapes, able to be turned into whatever it needs to be. It’s the load bearing grape in Châteauneuf du-Pâpe and it goes solo in some of the most thrilling monovarietal wines in Australia and Spain.

One Vine Wines

Greg Martellotto
Poway, CA

Martellotto Wines began in a 17th century trullo, an iconic house in Alberobello (the place of pretty trees) in southern Italy. Uniquely constructed without mortar, topped with slate roofs, and recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage site, the trullo is the recessed image in the 2006 vintage front labels. Greg Martellotto’s family has been making wine for generations, and his grandfather brought traditional winemaking practices to the U.S. when he immigrated to Ellis Island in 1909. Greg’s unique skill set includes: winemaking experience in California, Italy and Mexico, launching several wine brands, building a successful import/distribution company and developing long-term relationships with growers, winery owners, and clients. Greg’s intention is to make remarkable wines of consequence, consistency, value, and varietal expression. A vineyard first philosophy focuses efforts on farming (including biodynamic and sustainable agriculture) with gentle handling in the winery and minimal intervention. Martellotto wines are allocated, vineyard designate wines that are a pleasure to share.
