The 2014 Lodi Wine Company Cabernet Sauvignon has a fuller body with flavors of darker fruits coupled with peppercorn, clove and anise, which lend an earthier profile that is balanced and has a long finish.

The wine’s color is typified by its dark garnet color.  The aromas of fresh cut rosemary, thyme and bay leaf are mixed with fresh raspberries and blackberries.  The flavors mirror the aromas in that fresh fruit begins and leads to the aforementioned spices and ends with a coco powder finish.  Its complex structure and flavors lend themselves to a grilled rib eye steak with mushroom foie gras reduction sauce, or smoked brisket with a peppercorn rub or even roasted pork tenderloin with a raspberry coulis glaze.

The 2014 Lodi Wine Company Cabernet Sauvignon is a traditional wine that is dedicated to seven generations of a family’s commitment to California’s fertile agricultural backbone.  The vineyards that produced the fruit for this wine benefit from the deep and rich soils that make-up the Lodi Appellation. The fruit matures in warm sunny days and cool nights as a result of gentle breezes coming from the San Francisco Bay and the Delta waterways. The fruit is cultivated to a have a balance between fruit character and structure.  The fruit was harvested at the peak of flavor and crushed and fermented in stainless steel vessels.  The wine was then aged in experienced barrels and allowed to age for twelve months.  The blend was then created and prepared for bottling.
