2010 Roussanne, San Antonio Valley, Monterey County 750ml 3-Pack

Tropical aromas of apricot, white peaches with floral and citrus notes and a hint of honey. Slightly dry with crisp acidity and minerality, silky on the palate. Floral finish is embellished by floral notes.  Serve chilled. Made with fruit from the new San Antonio AVA in Southern Monterey County.
 
Pairing Recommendation: Excellent with rich shellfish (lobster and crab); Sea Bass, Salmon, Also pairs nicely with mildly spicy foods (curries, gumbo) stir-fries in garlic and olive oil, a light pasta. roasted chicken or turkey, or salads.

Aromas of blueberries, cherries and plums combine with black licorice and mocha. Rich and full flavored, this syrah exhibits dark fruit flavors and firm tannins.

The grapes come from the Ing Vineyard which has a shaley loam topsoil laced with chalk and limestone.  3 different clones were used from the vineyard; Estrella, Syrah Noir and 877.  After a 24-hour cold soak, they were fermented to dryness and aged in 2-3 year old French and American Oak for 18 months.

In the old West, before the days of ATVs and Helicopters,  when Cowboys still worked cattle a horse back, the term "line shack" referred to a small cabin built on the open range where cowboys could take shelter from nature’s wrath.  Our “Line Shack” was discovered in 1989 when our family acquired a small ranch in Chualar Canyon, Monterey County, California. The only building on it was a rundown cabin we affectionately called the “Line Shack.”
 
Our fruit is produced in the Southern Monterey County, the focus of our winemaking efforts being the San Antonio Valley AVA. This new AVA, which is a Mountain Valley in the Santa Lucia Range, is becoming renowned for producing excellent quality warm climate, “Boudreaux and Rhone” grape varieties that produce intense flavored, full bodied red and white wines of exceptional character.
It is the goal and mission of the Line Shack Winery to grow a business which provides its customers with excellent quality and good value while providing a sound workplace with opportunity for our employees all the while remaining good stewards of the environment.  Line Shack Winery is proud to offer superb quality wines at exceptional values for your enjoyment.
