Wine.Woot purchases now bypass your cart entirely! This means you gotta buy Wine.Woot items on their own, using your Amazon Payments account. You can't mix 'em up with stuff from our other sites. This cowboy's ridin' solo.

Be aware that anything in your cart from the other Woot sites is still out there and looking forward to your return. We'd hate for anything to sell out while you're reading this.

You missed it! But Today's Woot is waiting!

The T is silent

"Ōlelo" is a Hawaiian word. When you drink this, you can say it's "so ono" and then when you're done, you can say "all pau!" And then you can go moi moi. This has been another episode of "A haole knows some Hawaiian words."

6 - 2014 'Ōlelo Merlot, Paso Robles
2014 'Ōlelo Merlot, Paso Robles
Paso Robles is ideally located for growing intense, fruit- driven Bordeaux varietals. Merlot is perfectly suited to the warm days and cool nights that Paso Robles offers.  Those warm days and cool nights produce grapes of the perfect phenological ripeness which develop into rich, fruit-forward wines.  The tannins are subtle, the body rich and supple and the finish lingering.
Vineyard Sources
Sustainably farmed by people that love the land and are committed to growing the finest fruit possible at the French Camp Vineyard - located in The Paso Robles Highlands District AVA.
Method of Production
The grapes were night harvested and cold soaked for six days to enhance color and soft tannin extraction, prior to being fermented on skins for 7-10 days. The wines were then aged in New French and One Year Old American Oak Barrels for approximately 9 months prior to bottling.

About ‘Ōlelo Wine:
Translated, ‘Ōlelo means Word in the Hawaiian language.
The three colors on the ‘Ōlelo label represent the Land or Aina, the Sea and the Sky.  And just as there must be a natural balance between these, fine wines also need to have a natural balance.  Our handcrafted traditional wine making techniques and barrel aging ensure ‘Ōlelo Wines are naturally well balanced and satisfying.
In 2010 ‘Ōlelo Wines were originally created by Master Sommelier Michael Jordan exclusively for Disney’s Aulani Resort at Ko Olina on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. Since then these delicious wines have become a favorite of the Disney guests.  These handcrafted artisan wines have gained a loyal following.  Now due to popular demand these wines are available at exclusive locations across the country.  These wines are “Island Style” -soft, supple and easy to drink.  They pair perfectly with fresh and light tropical and Asian cuisine.

What are Top Comments?

Top Comments are discussion forum posts we have deemed worthy of your time. Listen, we get a lot of comments, and most of the time, it's pretty forgettable stuff; but sometimes you rise to the top like butterfat in milk. We don't recommend you base your self-worth on how often we feature your comments, but we don't expressly forbid it either.
