Wine.Woot purchases now bypass your cart entirely! This means you gotta buy Wine.Woot items on their own, using your Amazon Payments account. You can't mix 'em up with stuff from our other sites. This cowboy's ridin' solo.

Be aware that anything in your cart from the other Woot sites is still out there and looking forward to your return. We'd hate for anything to sell out while you're reading this.

Hallucinate Responsibly

There are a few things you should know about this wine.

First of all, it is delicious and refreshing. On the nose it is a summer bouquet of freesia.

Secondly, it is perfectly normal to experience a hint of wildflowers popping up when you swirl the wine around in the glass. Figuratively speaking, of course. What is NOT normal is perceiving that an actual bouquet of wildflowers has suddenly sprouted from your glass.

If this does occur, it is possible that either A) You have had way too much or B) Someone has put something in your drink (and I'm not talkin' tulip bulbs, here.)

If at any point you suspect that someone has spiked your drink, please do the following:

1. Put down your glass.
2. Seek medical attention immediately.
3. Tell them you think someone slipped you a mickey.
4. Stop using the word "mickey." You sound like you're 80.
5. If you are, in fact, 80 years old, disregard #4.

Otherwise, please continue to enjoy responsibly the fresh and delightful palate of honeydew melon, pear and passion fruit, especially with seafood pasta, quiche or antipasti.

Janell Dusi

Bringing J Dusi into the public realm of the wine industry has been a life-long dream for me. I grew up living on the vineyard, participating in grape farming, and begging for my Grandfather to teach me the winemaking process.

My first vintage was when I was sixteen. My Grandfather guided me through the process from recollection of the days when his family ran the original “Dusi Winery” back in the 50’s. I learned, from him, the REAL Italian way to make wine, which happened to be a light variation of today’s California styles wines.

My Great-Grandparents, Sylvester and Caterina Dusi settled into Paso Robles in the early twenties. They had three sons; Guido, Dante and Benito Dusi. They were active proprietors in many local businesses including vineyards, farming, restaurants, and Dusi Winery. I was born and raised on the vineyard that my Grandfather Dante, his father and two brothers planted in 1945.  As vineyards were rare in the area at that time, Zinfandel was the Italian varietal of choice. They implemented the farming practices of head pruned vines and no irrigation, dry farming. Today, 65 years later, we still carry on their farming traditions and uphold one of the areas most loved vineyards.  Dusi grapes can be found in some of the most sought after Zinfandels in Paso Robles.

Top Comments are discussion forum posts we have deemed worthy of your time. Listen, we get a lot of comments, and most of the time, it's pretty forgettable stuff; but sometimes you rise to the top like butterfat in milk. We don't recommend you base your self-worth on how often we feature your comments, but we don't expressly forbid it either.
