All-New All-Different Wine.Woot Details

Wine.Woot purchases now bypass your cart entirely! This means you gotta buy Wine.Woot items on their own, using your Amazon Payments account. You can't mix 'em up with stuff from our other sites. This cowboy's ridin' solo.

Be aware that anything in your cart from the other Woot sites is still out there and looking forward to your return. We'd hate for anything to sell out while you're reading this.

You missed it! But Today's Woot is waiting!

Maybe this is what Bonnie Tyler was talking about

Hero: It means different things to different people. For some, it's an athlete. For others, it's a comic book character. A few people even think of it as a sandwich. But we shed those idiosyncrasies in the face of actual, real strength. Net profits from today's wine directly supports the Women Veterans Alliance. These women aren't dancing in the end zone or throwing around a magic hammer. They're real heroes.

The sandwiches are also pretty good.

2015 Hero Cellars "Strength" Cabernet Sauvignon, Lodi
The wine is more intense with darker violet hues. The aromas have characteristics of blackberry, cassis, and plum; with elements of vanilla and cedar. The wine has a fuller body with flavors of darker fruits coupled with peppercorn, clove and anise, which lend an earthier profile that is balanced and has a long finish. This wine would go well with grilled salmon with a dill butter sauce, roasted chicken with garlic and rosemary, or rib eye Philly cheese steak sandwich.

The grapes for our Cabernet Sauvignon come from vineyards that benefit from the deep and rich soils that make-up the Lodi Appellation. The fruit benefits from warm sunny days and cool nights as a result of gentle breezes coming from the San Francisco Bay and the Delta waterways. This allows the fruit to mature and have a proper balance between fruit character and structure.

The fruit was harvested at optimal ripeness and was crushed and fermented in stainless steel vessels. The wine was then aged in experienced barrels and allowed to age for twelve months. The blend was then created and prepared for bottling. It has produced a fresh fruity style wine that is sure to please your palate.

What are Top Comments?

Top Comments are discussion forum posts we have deemed worthy of your time. Listen, we get a lot of comments, and most of the time, it's pretty forgettable stuff; but sometimes you rise to the top like butterfat in milk. We don't recommend you base your self-worth on how often we feature your comments, but we don't expressly forbid it either.
