Wine Tale
Perhaps you've heard the story of Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Wine.
Every day, Alexander would go into his yard and pluck some grapes. He would bring the grapes home and make them into wine. But every time he tasted his wine he realized something: his wine tasted terrible!
But then one day, he discovered a valley ... a valley filled with grapes! He plucked the grapes and filled a bucket with them, and he used them to make wine.
The wine was delcicious! Brilliant, some might say! Full of bright fruit and elegant with smooth tannins. After drinking a glass, he rushed to his linen closet and stitched together a flag. He grabbed the flag and put in the valley, deeming it Alexander Valley.
Or so, that's how the story goes. Since then, many wines have come from Alexander Valley, including this 2009 Denier-Handal Vineyard Zinfandel, so go ahead and buy some. Then you can experience the Terrific, Wonderful, Not Bad, Very Good Wine yourself.
Features
2009 Denier-Handal Vineyard, Alexander Valley Zinfandel 750ml 4-Pack
This is a medium bodied, well-balanced wine that exhibits the best qualities of both Zinfandel and Petite Sirah. The balance between the fruit flavors, tannin and acid makes this vintage truly enjoyable. The first thing you notice is its color and clarity looking very much like a jewel in your glass. The aromas are pure fruit with hints of spices and wood. Raspberries, black currants, blackberries, and black pepper are the initial flavors with nuances of black cherry, figs, cedar and other spices. The finish is long and enjoyable. This is a typical Alexander Valley Zinfandel, brilliant, bright fruit, elegant with smooth tannins.
