Well, I'm sorry if you THINK you had a meeting, but I very clearly reserved the break room for my weekly one man tasting party. I can't be blamed if you don't check the calendar.

Yes, thank you, Roger, it WOULD be very nice if you'd step back a little from my six bottles of 2010 Cilla's Blend, as your body heat might be changing the room's ambient temperature, and thus ruining my tasting experience. Are you sure you assigned your meeting to Room DC5.0098.4? Because I know for a FACT I have had this planned for at least the past six weeks.

No, Vivianne, you can't have a little corner of my cheese. I need it all, because otherwise I won't be able to fully enjoy the rich flavors of this chic designer wine. It's a blend of Cab and Syrah, and I brought it specifically so I could enjoy a quiet hour during my lunch break, an hour you're now WASTING, by the way, enjoying the rich flavors of my Cilla's Blend. No, I DON'T actually know what it tastes like, and I WON'T as long as you keep wasting my time talking about your silly... what is that, a stack of finance reports? Yeah, like anyone in a company ever needs to look at THOSE. I know I never even open them over in Accounting, I just stamp them complete and throw them in the shredder. You guys could learn a lesson from me. It would really save you time.

Well, Donald, I appreciate that you "appreciate my needs" but face it, I'm not giving up the break room until I've finished my tasting here. See? I've got a nice tablecloth and everything. I even baked that bread myself. Yes, Paul, YOU can have a slice, because YOU let me cut in front of you at the copier that once. See how it works, Vivianne? Maybe you'll remember that the next time I ask to borrow your scissors.

All right, all right, now I'll have to insist: you all have to find a different room to have your quarterly manager's meeting. Might I suggest the lunchroom? Because I know for a fact there's at least one table free, since it's the one I normally sit at, and no one ever joins me. I can't imagine why, because I'm so friendly and sociable.

Tsk! Donald! Don't close the blinds! My scones need indirect sunlight at all times!

2010 Cilla's Blend 750ml 6-Pack

Cilla’s Blend is Cimarone Estate's chic designer wine; a graceful blend of Cabernet and Syrah.  Newly released, this is co-owner Cilla's blend, harking to the classical 70% Syrah:30% Bordeaux formula.  This is the elegant and seductive blend of estate grapes from the Three Creek vineyard located at Cimarone Estate in Happy Canyon, the newest AVA in Santa Barbara wine country. This eastern part of the county see much higher temperatures than the coastal areas, and has proven to be excellent for bordeaux and rhone varietals. The wine is named for proprietor Priscilla (aka Cilla) Higgins. The Bordeaux grapes in the blend provide structure, balance, herbal notes and a sense of terroir. The Syrah offers brambly fruit, raspberries, and a leathery edge. Very little new oak is used in bringing up this wine yet you can find notes of toast, vanilla, and cigar box. Fresh and delicious now, particularly with roast meat, game or your best bbq burger, this wine will improve over the next five to eight years.

Cimarone Estate

Owners:
Roger and Dr. Priscilla Higgins
Location:
Santa Ynez, CA
Our wines are handcrafted from estate grown grapes from our Happy Canyon Three Creek Vineyard.   Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara is the newest AVA (American Viticultural Area) in Santa Barbara County, and Cimarone is the first  (and only) Happy Canyon winery to open a tasting room in the charming town of Los Olivos.

While many older Santa Ynez and Los Olivos wineries are focused on Rhone and Burgundy varieties, we are intensely dedicated to grapes hailing from Bordeaux (Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc).  Our Happy Canyon climate and terroir are ideally suited for their optimal growth, mirroring geologic and temperate elements of Napa and Bordeaux.  We also feature a lovely Sangiovese because the feisty Italian loves our terroir as well.

Don’t be fooled by our youth…major wine critics such as Steve Heimoff of Wine Enthusiast Magazine have already awarded scores of 90, 91, and 92 for our efforts.  In fact, Mr. Heimoff called us, “A brand to watch.”  But the best judge is always your own palate, so come sample the fruits of our labors for yourself!
