All-New All-Different Wine.Woot Details

Wine.Woot purchases now bypass your cart entirely! This means you gotta buy Wine.Woot items on their own, using your Amazon Payments account. You can't mix 'em up with stuff from our other sites. This cowboy's ridin' solo.

Be aware that anything in your cart from the other Woot sites is still out there and looking forward to your return. We'd hate for anything to sell out while you're reading this.

You missed it! But Today's Woot is waiting!

Taking A Chance

It isn't just about choosing the right wine. It's also about choosing the right bottle.

"What's wrong? You've been staring at that wine for the last hour."

I don't know which one to bring.

"They're all the same."

But are they? Are they really the same?

"Yes. They really are the same. You bought six bottles of the same wine."

But really aren't they each individual bottles of wine? Each with their slight differences? Their own unique personality traits? Their own quirks and characteristics that make them each an individual?

"No. They're just six bottles of the same Chance Creek Sauvignon Blanc wine. All from 2010. All with the same aromas of passion fruit, apple butter and hay. All with the same crisp, tart light-to-medium body."

But within their mouthwatering, stone-accented finishes, can we not say that each is its own individual bottle with its own individual product?

"You know what? I'm just going to wait upstairs."

Redwood Valley, Mendocino County
Perfectly situated with a southwest exposure, Chance Creek Vineyards are rooted in the rocky bench lands of Redwood Valley. Our grapes are grown in accordance with the California Organic Food Act of 1990 and are C.C.O.F. certified.
The wines resulting from our family labors are intense, varietal and a pure statement of terroir, the unique flavor imparted to the grape by our particular vineyards.
Our specialty at Chance Creek Vineyards is our Sauvignon Blanc, and we have been at it for 30 years now, after planting 14 acres of Redwood Valley, Mendocino County bench land to the varietal in 1981. It grew like mad and we have vines tall enough for our flock of sheep to graze under so that they can keep the cover crop from being 4 feet tall.
The farming we practice gives us juicy forward fruit that at times mimics Sancerre with its white stone fruit and citrus nuances.  We add a touch of our own Viognier to fatten the wine in its otherwise very lean youth and to give an additional punch to the bouquet.   It has its in your face vibrancy that is uniquely Northern Californian.    This wine produces ample fresh pink grapefruit and zesty brisk nectarine flavor that pairs nicely with fresh Dungeness crab (get a live one) and almost every form of sea food you can imagine.

Top Comments are discussion forum posts we have deemed worthy of your time. Listen, we get a lot of comments, and most of the time, it's pretty forgettable stuff; but sometimes you rise to the top like butterfat in milk.
