All-New All-Different Wine.Woot Details

Wine.Woot purchases now bypass your cart entirely! This means you gotta buy Wine.Woot items on their own, using your Amazon Payments account. You can't mix 'em up with stuff from our other sites. This cowboy's ridin' solo.

Be aware that anything in your cart from the other Woot sites is still out there and looking forward to your return. We'd hate for anything to sell out while you're reading this.

Last of the Summer Wine

Let's do this. One last spree before sunset. A final frolic in the heat and haze. The next time we meet like this, the breezes will be cooler, the leaves will be redder, and the harvest will be almost ripe. It's the last Wine-Off of the summer. And we don't intend to waste it.

2009 Castoro Merlot, Paso Robles, 375ml 12-Pack

Merlot is a sleeper Bordeaux varietal that will have you coming back for more! In the Castoro Merlot you will find a subtle but full nose of ripe berries, a hint of dark chocolate and oak vanillin. The mouth contains ripe fruit nuances with moderate tannin levels. This wine is a great alternative to Cabernet Sauvignon when you are looking for something a tad softer and subtle. You’ll find this wine is great with any roasted meat or vegetable dish.

Castoro Cellars

Early 80’s
Niels and Bimmer Udsen
Paso Robles, CA

One of the oldest wineries in the Paso Robles AVA, Castoro Cellars is said to have taken the backwards approach to developing a brand. They began making wine in the early 1980s, and, over the course of the next ten years, bought equipment and opened a tasting room. The winery site was purchased in 1991, and within the past decade, existing vineyards were purchased and new vineyards planted.

What are Top Comments?

Top Comments are discussion forum posts we have deemed worthy of your time. Listen, we get a lot of comments, and most of the time, it's pretty forgettable stuff; but sometimes you rise to the top like butterfat in milk. We don't recommend you base your self-worth on how often we feature your comments, but we don't expressly forbid it either.
