2005 Cabernet Sauvignon, Paso Robles Magnum 2-Pack

2005 was a near perfect growing vintage. The grapes had great intensity and color. In addition to Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine contains Petite Verdot and Merlot to add complexity. This wine is packed with rich berry and full fruit capped with a toasty oak note. The finish fills your mouth with lush flavors that are not blown away with excessive tannins.

One of the oldest wineries in the Paso Robles AVA, Castoro Cellars is said to have taken the backwards approach to developing a brand. They began making wine in the early 1980s, and, over the course of the next ten years, bought equipment and opened a tasting room. The winery site was purchased in 1991, and within the past decade, existing vineyards were purchased and new vineyards planted.
