Beehive Cheese Company Promontory
As the patriarch of the Beehive family of cheeses, Promontory is an Irish-style cheese with buttery, full-bodied texture and snappy, citrus-like fruity notes.

Perfect for entertaining, this 1 lb cut of Promontory will make a delicious addition to your cheese board. A pound of cheese will accommodate between 16-20 guests.

Quality Ingredients: Promontory, as well as all Beehive cheeses, is made from the milk of Jersey cows from Ogden’s Wadeland South Dairy. Wadeland’s Jersey cows enjoy 350 acres near the salty marshes, ponds and mudflats of the mineral-loaded soil of the Great Salt Lake. The same nutrient-rich soil that feeds thousands of migrating birds, feeds the lush alfalfa that the cows love to eat.

Pairing Suggestions: Medium to full-bodied red wines, ales and IPAs. Honey, preserves, gourmet mac-and-cheese, grilled Panini with roasted red peppers

Beehive Cheese Company SeaHive
Hand-rubbed with local honey and Redmond RealSalt®, SeaHive is a beautifully balanced treat. Made from the milk of Jersey cows in Northern Utah, this is a full-bodied cheese with a smooth, creamy texture. SeaHive is shaping up to be one of our best cheeses. It is a true expression of Beehive Cheese Company's local flavors, superior quality and creativity.

Quality Ingredients: From the land of salt and honey. Our SeaHive is hand-rubbed with wildflower honey harvested from a local farm and RealSalt® sea salt. RealSalt® is harvested from an ancient sea bed near Redmond, Utah and contains unique flecks of color from more than 50 natural trace minerals.

Pairing suggestions: Hoppy ales, fruity white wines, straight bourbon. A variety of nuts, or shaved on salads and soups

Rustic Bakery Tart Cherry & Cacao Nib Crostini
A hint of sweetness can go a long way, especially in each nibble of these Pane Forte Crostini. A mixture of Bing cherries, toasted almonds, and Valrhona cacao nibs creates a sweet yet tart cracker that's excellent for bloomy rinds and blues alike. Each cracker is a rustic and crispy bite, adding a distinguished texture to your cheese snacking.

Ingredients: Whole wheat flour, raw sugar, dried cherries, almonds, cacao nibs, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, buttermilk, agave nectar, backing soda & salt.

Interesting Fact
Jersey cows are the smallest, and arguably the cutest, of dairy cow breeds. Despite their small size, they produce milk with the highest protein and fat content. Higher fat and protein means the milk is creamier. This is why Beehive cheese crafts such beautifully creamy cheese.

Vendor Details

Beehive Cheese Co.

From corporate to artisan: Brothers-in-law Pat Ford and Tim Welsh are passionate about their handmade cheese!

When you take a bite of Beehive Cheese, it melts like butter in your mouth. That’s because Beehive Cheese is made from the creamiest milk in Utah and lovingly crafted into superior cheese by a family who shares a passion for the artisan way of life.

In 2005, brothers-in-law Tim Welsh and Pat Ford left the fast-paced world of software and real estate seeking a simple way of life as cheese makers. They traded their grinding commute and laptops for quiet pre-dawn mornings sitting with 500 gallons of farm-fresh milk carefully mixing and warming it for hours to develop their unique cheese. Delighting in the sweet smell of warm milk, they fell in love with the natural rhythms of making cheese the old fashioned way. The long days of polishing their recipe and the months spent waiting with an artisan’s patience for wheels to ripen to perfection have made our cheeses some of the best in America. The Beehive Cheese family is delighted to share our passion with you.
