2007 Petite Sirah, Vineyard Blend 750ml
This wine showcases the best of two California appellations. The Central Coast portion of this blend offers spice both in the nose and palate. The Sierra Foothills’ vineyard contributes the black fruit characteristics, while lending structure and perfume.

Blackberries, violets, white pepper and anise combine in the nose to create that enigmatic Sierra Foothills petite perfume. The mouth displays dark berry and blood orange fruit framed by solid tannins with accents of black tea and sage. The grower named the vineyard for his dog, Thor, who saved the acreage from certain destruction... though the details are vague.

Ursa vineyards' comes from Silvaspoons Vineyards in Alta Mesa, one of the few vineyards in California growing this intriguing grape. Ripe plum, Worcester & a hint of pork skin in the nose. Ripe fruit nose turns to bright fruit flavors. Not as tannic as previous vintages but still firm. Tannat offers the highest amount of antioxidants of all the vinifera.
