Sextant Wines 2010 Wheelhouse Zinfandel 750ml 5-Pack

Vintage after vintage, the Sextant Wheelhouse Zinfandel reveals itself with grace and potency. Delectable cherries flow freely on the mid-palate as plums, blackberries, and cranberries jostle on the back-palate. Inklings of smoky cedar, black olives, and spicy sage join the profile as well. It is bold and keen with flavors, but yet so balanced in structure. The acidity is poised and the tannins are finely integrated giving way to an unrelenting, enduring, and monumental finish.

With fruit sourced from Sextant's RBZ Vineyard, this Zinfandel was blended with Syrah, Petite Sirah and Tempranillo. Fermented in Stainless Steel and aged 10 months in New and Neutral French Oak barrels.

What began as a grape growing endeavor with the family-owned and operated Sunridge Nurseries naturally evolved into a deep passion for making our own hand-crafted Zinfandels, Petite Sirah blends, as well as Rhone-style red and whites. Our nautical themed brands are a nod to our love of the ocean and to the coastal influence in our vineyards located along California’s Central Coast.

Make sure to stop by one of our two locations on your next visit to the Central Coast. Located in the picturesque Edna Valley our Tasting Room and Gourmet Deli can be found in the historic Old Edna Townsite, established in 1909. We also invite you to visit our second location at the heart of our winery operations in Paso Robles, CA where you will find the Barrel and Tasting Room thru spring 2012. We are in the process of building our future Estate Winery and Hospitality Center on West Highway 46 in Paso Robles, CA and are scheduled to open in the spring of 2012.
