About Mia
Born and raised in Sonoma, the heart of Wine Country, Mia learned to cook the old-fashioned way – at the stove with spoon in hand, under the loving direction of her mother and grandmother, using family recipes that had been handed down from generation to generation. Her passion for down home cooking spurred her to share the bounty from her own table and hence, with advice from her mom, Nancy, Mia’s Kitchen was born.
Starting out wasn’t easy. Her first “store” was the back of her pickup truck. But customers quickly became devotees of the exceptional and innovative (but affordable) pasta sauces, olive oils, and other tasty products Mia’s Kitchen had to offer. The pickup truck approach, while gritty and challenging, eventually morphed into national grocery distribution. Today, Mia’s Kitchen products can be found on the shelves of top grocery stores nationwide.
