bubbles
Listen, if you wanna enjoy a glass of sparkling wine, you don't have to wait for NYE or Thanksgiving or a wedding. There are plenty of reasons to crack open a bottle of bubbly. Consider the following:
- That panda at the zoo had a baby!
- I just took an excellent nap!
- There’s still a moon!
- The ointment is working!
- Free samples at the grocery store today!
- Someone left their change in the vending machine!
- I threw a sock ball into the hamper from, like, way across the room!
- The loneliness is agony!
- We’re not in Florida! (Not applicable in Florida)
- Leonard Fournette is amazing!
- I remembered to buy toothpaste!
- The day is over and we made it out alive!

2010 Russian Cuvee 750ml
90 points - Wine Spectator
Russian Cuvee is the richest, most opulent of the Iron Horse bubblies, though it is technically a Brut. The dosage for this wine is 16 mls of special LEX (50% Pinot Noir, 50% Chardonnay).
The Russian Cuvee commemorates the style of Sparkling we made for the Reagan-Gorbachev Summit Meeting in 1985, ending the cold war. Amazingly, the 30th anniversary of that historic event is coming up on November 20th.
Iron Horse has been served at the White House by five consecutive Presidential Administrations. Friday, September 25, one of our special cuvees, our 2013 UnOaked Chardonnay and our 2011 Thomas Road Pinot Noir are being served at the formal State Department lunch for the President of China.
By nose: Caramel apple, nutmeg and orange zest
By mouth: ripe red apple, lime, brioche and brown sugar
2010 Brut X 750ml
The 2010 Brut X is extremely dry, extremely bright and extemely expressive. This is the kind of bubbly you can drink all night long. It is bone dry. the dosage is "sugar free," but intensely flavored, complex and polished.
By nose: raspberry, custard and hazelnut
By mouth: lime, honeysuckle and nectarine.
