2009 Expression 38º Chardonnay, Goldrock Ridge, Sonoma Coast 750ml 2-Pack

Expression's newest vineyard-designate hails from what some call the "true" Sonoma Coast.  Situated just a few miles from the Pacific Ocean - this heavily maritime influenced vineyard yields beautifully balanced fruit that develops slowly in the cool ocean clime. Full phelonic ripeness is reached late in the season and the resulting wine features aromas of pear, grapefruit, citrus blossom and kumquat preserves that follow through to the palate with exotic, spicy notes and zesty, mouth-watering acidity. The brightness is tempered by full malo-latictic fermentation and 14 months on French oak.
