2009 Exuberance Syrah, Sonoma Valley 750ml 2-Pack
The 2009 Exuberance Syrah has a dark red, almost garnet hue with bright red on the rim. Ripe cherry with floral accented berry and cedar on the nose with hints of dried rose petal and sweet oak. Lovely entry that leads into a savory mid palate. Ripe fig and black currant dominate the finish with a breadth of soft, well integrated tannins.
Pair with venison, roast duck or wild game.
Exuberance describes Canihan Family Cellars' emotions upon learning that their first vintage of Syrah was judged by 47 judges to be the best red wine from more than 4,300 wines in the 2007 San Francisco International Wine Competition. Great wines originate in the vineyard, and the cool climate of the Sonoma Valley certified organic vineyard results in an exceptionally elegant Syrah. Back-to-back Gold & Double Gold medals have proven that their dry-farming and meticulous organic vineyard management, along with minimalist winemaking philosophy result in exceptional wines expressive of the terroir.

The Canihan Family produces award-winning Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Cabernet Franc from our certified organic estate vineyards in the heart of the Sonoma Valley.
The Canihan Family vineyards are ideally located in the Sonoma Valley, and because we border on the Los Carneros Appellation, the vineyards receive the cool evening breezes and frequent fog from San Francisco Bay that provide for perfect grape growing conditions.
Organic vineyard management practices, dry-farming, hand-harvesting only at complete ripeness, fermentation with naturally occurring native yeast, and no fining or filtering result in flavorful wines expressive of our “terroir”. Our commitment to elegant and flavorful wine is also evidenced by our low yields, which never exceed two tons per acre.
We are thrilled that our first wine produced was judged by 47 judges over three days and awarded “Best of Show Red Wine” from over 4,300 wines at the prestigious 2007 San Francisco International Wine Competition.
