Something strange is going on here
One night, a Sonoma resident called the police to report a strange, bright in the distance. When the officer arrived, he found the caller, an elderly woman, sitting on her couch in the dark staring blankly ahead. She didn’t say anything or move at all, even when he turned on a lamp right next to her. “Where’s the light you called about?” he asked her. She looked at him with empty eyes and said, “Oh it was nothing. Never mind. There is no need to be concerned.”
The next day, the Blue Nomad Wine Company was just, well, there. If you ask when it was founded, the typical Sonoma local will look at you with a blank face and say, in a monotone voice, “What do you mean, when was it founded? Blue Nomad Wine Company has always been here. And always will be here. I am eternally grateful for its presence.”
Some of those who don’t appear brainwashed (and there are fewer of them everyday) believe owner Jeff Bundschu to be a mad scientist. “If they weren’t engineered by a man of science, how do you explain the explosiveness of the aromas of sweet mandarins and paper white blossoms in this 2009 Bright Light Dry California White Wine?” Others believe him to be from another world. “Sure the flavors are familiar: key lime, chilled crisp slices of honeydew,” they say, “but their intensity? That is something no human is capable of!”
