I'm sorry to learn that he has lung cancer. I'll keep him in my prayers.

My father is still in the hospital and on a ventilator. His fever broke 3 days ago, so it looks like they were able to beat the MRSA bacteria. His pneumonia seems to be improving, and they are trying to get him off the ventilator soon.

I think my uncle is alright, going by the fact that my Aunt is back to normal posting with no mention of my Uncle being ill/hurting/in hospital. I really wish I had a proper update, but I take what I can get.

The first of the two FIRST LEGO League State Championship Tournaments I'm helping to coordinate went really really well. Lots of positive feedback throughout the day! Having a bit of an issue with the new judges software so I'm trying to figure that out at home. It didn't work when we entered the game scores, but it was helpful for deliberations once my boss understood what I needed, haha.

My heart goes out, and prayers are said, for those who have loved ones in pain or illness. I've been through that with my parents too. They're OK for now, but I always wonder when I'm going to get "that" phone call.

Sure! I don't have any though. I highly recommend the US website Most of the pictures are last year's World's Festival. The bots look a lot like the top pic! This year's theme is Senior Solutions. Each team had to get a senior mentor and talk to them about an age related difficulty and then create a solution to that problem. One of our winners at the North competition made an all-terrain wheel chair.

They also build a robot to compete in a themed game where it has to autonomously complete tasks.

Ehh...I've been better...I've been worse. Unfortunately, when dealing with the different meds I have to have, it has been the case that getting everything balanced to the optimum levels is quite a trial and error process(I do not envy the job my endocrinologist has).

Thanks. Compared to how things were before though, I'm ridiculously better. It's just getting things "optimized" which has caused some frustrating times. But I'm still under the year mark for things, so I'm probably doing pretty well relatively speaking.

The roads were absolutely lovely. We had such a wonderful time and my Mom is loved by all of my coworkers! 4-H is such a great organization to work with. Had amazing volunteers, saw truly remarkable 3rd-7th graders. I'm taking tomorrow off, maybe Friday too if I can get away with it (I'm way over hours anyway). Might be getting a trip back East after my working trip to LEGO Land.

Tennis - I'm glad things are improving. Best of luck to your endocrinologist.

Update on my father: The staph infection has been cleared, and he is finally off the ventilator. He's on his regular oxygen tubing. He is able to drink now, and his throat is healing. The pneumonia is clearing, and I'm so very grateful for miracles!

Jawsuser: I hope your father's condition is improving. I'm keeping him in my prayers.

Tennis: I hope the docs can find the correct combination of meds. Hang in there!

KtC: Enjoy the day off!
