Names Can Be Deceiving
You like TiVo, right? Well then, you're going to love Z'IVO!
How do you get from TiVo to Z'IVO? Simple! First you take the T and change it to a Z! Then you add an apostrophe! After that you streamline the capitalization! And finally, you make it less of a digital television recording system and more of a Pinot Noir!
That's right! A Pinot Noir! As in wine! As in a liquid substance! What would happen when you tried to put TiVo in a wine glass? You'd probably break the glass! Well, get this: the Z'IVO is BUILT FOR POURING!
But who really cares about that, right? You wanna know how the flavor compares. First, bite into a TiVo. What do you taste? Just a bunch of crunchy plastic and wires. Now, drink some Z'IVO, and you get the delicious flavor of red cherry fruit (2007 model) or the rich yet round soft mouth feel that earned a 91 in Wine Spectator and a 90 in Wine Enthusiast (2006 model). I bet they don't even review TiVo in wine magazines!
And the best part? Z'IVO is totally wireless and 100% portable! Although, you're not supposed to use it while you're driving. But to be fair, you probably shouldn't be programing a TiVo while you're on the road either...

2006 Z’IVO Wines Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills 750ml
This wine is ruby red and delicately scented with cherries and spice. It has great structure and has put on weight in the bottle. It has a rich yet round soft mouth feel. The tannins match the flavors with no hard angles making the wine disturbingly quaffable.
2007 Z’IVO Wines Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills 750ml
This 2007 Pinot Noir is ruby red and assertively spicy on the nose. It has great structure and the whole cluster addition has added complexity to complement the red cherry fruit. It has a rich, round soft mouth feel. It will age well longer than its lighter color would leave you to believe.

The 2006 vintage was exceptional for Z'IVO in several ways. This was the first year they had all 5 pinot noir clones available from their Estate Vineyard in the Eola-Amity Hills. The summer was benevolent to say the least. With that yield the tannins were soft, fine grained and mature; shedding the youthful qualities it had always shown before. Harvest occurred the last 3 days of September, an early date given the crop load. The wine required minimal handling and allowed wild yeasts to finish fermentation without difficulty after 1 week of cold soaking.

It was the summer that wasn’t and yet the grapes matured on time just before the rains pounded down on the last days of September. Z'IVO pulled the fruit in with 109 days of ripening and further hang time wasn’t going to help. The sugars and acids were in line and no manipulation was needed. The grapes looked polished with no bloom on them. After a 12 day cold soak they fired up the fermentations and for the first time had to use cultured yeasts because the super clean grapes had no native yeasts on them. They did a small whole cluster lot with four out of five clones as their first experiment with whole cluster fermentation.
