This might be a little forward.

I know you said you were too busy to get a drink after work, so I brought some to your office.

“Oh, Tim, I don’t think this is a good time.”

“Well that’s the thing, Gina. It seems like it’s never a good time. And that’s fine, I understand you’re a busy woman, but I, uh, took the liberty of clearing your schedule for the rest of the afternoon.”

“You…what?”

“I figured we could enjoy some of this 2007 Fire Sign Estate Cuvee 3-Pack and get to know each other.”

“Tim, look. I appreciate your…interest. And I’m flattered, really, but-”

“It’s just a glass of wine, Gina. I mean, we’re coworkers. We can be friendly, right? And I don’t see why friendly coworkers can’t enjoy flavors like ripe black cherries, plum, pomegranate, and toasted vanilla with hints of anise.”

“That sounds great, Tim, really, but it’s not really about the wine. I mean it sort of is, but-”

“You don’t like me?”

“This is a bit forward, isn’t it?”

“Some people might say it’s charming and whimsical.”

“To clear my work schedule without my knowledge and corner me in my office?”

“It worked on this romantic comedy I saw.”

“Did the guy in the romantic comedy walk into a woman’s office with three bottles of wine and a vacant expression in his eyes?”

“I don’t really-”

“Did the guy in the movie at least have pants on?”

Paso Robles, CA
Zenaida Cellars is located in the Templeton Gap area, west of Paso Robles, at the base of the Santa Lucia Mountains.Eric Ogorsolka is the man behind Zenaida Cellars as winemaker and owner along with his wife Jill. The kids get in on the action sometimes too and it is a toss up as to who will be the next winemaker! cellar doors.

Our philosophy on winemaking is straightforward and simple. People have been making and drinking wine since the Neolithic period (8500-4000 B.C.), that’s a pretty good stretch of time! During that time, basic winemaking hasn’t really changed that much.

In our opinion, it is a simple process, based on knowledge of your specific location. You must know your vineyard. Eric is adamant that this is where great wines begin. You must understand your soils and how each varietal interacts with it to express its true character. Lastly, farm sustainably and try your best not to get in the way and screw it up!
