Complex aromas of ripe black cherry and boysenberry fruit framed by toasted oak with spicey hints of nutmeg, cedar and mocha coffee. This medium full bodied wine has flavors of rich black fruit nicely woven with plenty of weight on the palate, but at the same time a silky feel with great structure and balance. Perfect for all red meats, game fowl and rich sauce food.

The Young family home sits high on a ridge in the rolling Western hills of Napa Valley's Carneros Appellation, With views overlooking the town of Napa and beyond, Young Ridge Estate is surrounded by two acres of Cabernet Sauvignon which sources their limited premium estate wine. Production and winery facilities are located on their 99 acre ranch in Pope Valley. The first releases of Cabernet Sauvignon included three vintages, 1995 - 200 cases, 1996 - 300 cases and 1997 - 400 cases. Current releases include 2001 through 2004 vintages. 2005 & 2006 are sold out and 2007 through 2009 are in the barrel. Production is approximately 600 cases per vintage. Young Ridge also has a 2000 & 2001 Zinfandel that was harvested on the Pope Valley property.
