Poor Timing
One of the reasons many people buy wine is to have something to bring to parties or other family gatherings, but we've checked the calendar, and it doesn't look like there's anything of that sort coming up anytime soon. We don't want that to deter you from buying this Vino D'Angelo Shake Ridge Zinfandel, though.
It sucks, really. We'd like to sell this wine, and it'd help so much if there was some sort of upcoming holiday where people all got together just to eat and drink. Seriously. That would really boost sales a lot.
You could bring it over and be the life of the party. You could accompany it with a meal of, oh, we dunno, turkey? Or maybe potatoes? Heck, it'd probably even taste great with cranberry sauce since it's already got ripe cherries and dark blackberries in it. We don't know, but it doesn't matter anyway because there doesn't seem to be a holiday around the corner that takes advantage of such delicious foods anyway.
But we still say you should buy this wine! Then you can be fully prepared for whenever the next six week stretch of multiple holidays that often consist of dining with friends and family occurs! We wonder when that'll be ...

The 2008 Shake Ridge Zinfandel hails from the great Sierra Foothills. It's full of flavors that can only be found from the rich rocky soils way up high in the hill. You will taste ripe cherries and dark blackberries with moderate tannins and a balanced acidity. This wine is great with food or alone; it has a moderate tannin and balanced acidity and is a pleasure to drink.
Deep dark garnet color; this wine fills the nose with aromas of raspberry, strawberries hints of vanilla cream and white pepper. Nice balanced acidity with moderate tannins and a nice short finish. The mouth is filled with flavors of red fruits and undercurrents of tobacco, cedar cigar box.
