Features
All of the wines in this offer are boutique wines - less than 1000 cases are made and all are hand-harvested. The Vineyard at Florence has only 32 acres of grapes in Florence, Texas and does not outsource any, so all are Estate-grown and made/bottled on the property.
2011 Aurelia 750ml
A Blanc du Bois harvested with gold grapes, yielding soft tropical fruits of pineapple, mango, and guava with a long, creamy finish.
Aged in stainless steel, malolactically-fermented, harvested in a drought year so very concentrated flavor.
2010 Roma 750ml
Made from the Norton grape, this is Forte’s alter-ego, a purely “red fruit” wine very similar to Pinot Noir. Cherries, raspberries, and more cherries best describes Roma. Brilliant red, slightly translucent color mimic Pinot in the extreme. Texas minerality exacerbates its red fruit profile and creates its crisp, complex finish in a Fresh style.
Made from Norton grape (prominent in MO); aged for 12 months in new French oak then finished in stainless steel.
2010 Forte 750ml
A proprietary Lenoir blend exuding very black fruit and color. Forte is very much like pure Syrah with spice and pepper, inky black color, and soft tannins resulting in a pure “black fruit” wine.
Aged in 100% French oak barrels for 12 months then finished in stainless steel; 100% Lenoir which is actually a native Texas grape that formed a natural hybrid with a Spanish grape.
