AW GAWD. I ain't got much longer, 'fraid. FFFSSSTTT FFFFSSSST.
Listen, uuuuuuuuuuuuunnnngggghhhhh - tell my wife back in -- sorry, what? It was a red wine, OK? No wait, there were a buncha different wines - a mix pack or something. It's all a bit foggy. Tell my son…ACKACKACKAACK OH GAWD I THOUGHT I KNEW WHAT PAIN WAS BUT THIS IS SOMETHING TOTALLY DIFFERENT. Tell my son I'm sorry I never --
-- Tasting notes? I just can't see why it matters - why any of it mattered. But I supposed there was a … a hint of spicy clove in the cab-shiraz blend. OK? OH I WISH IT WOULD END! nnnnghi nnnnghi nnnghi. And I guess you could say that that Syrah was surprisingly Rhone-like. WHERE IS THAT PAIN COMING FROM IS THAT PART OF MY BODY??
Would I recommend the wines to a friend? Sure I would. I'd tell a friend - ohhhhhh noooooooooo aaaaaaaaaghhhhh - I'd tell a friend to live for the moment. Drink wine. Be happy. Don't get caught up in a war you can't win with a people you should never have fought. Find a nice place to till the soil and take care of yourself. Life ain't for fighting, it's for…

2009 Syrah, SF Bay, Field of Dreams 750ml 3-Pack
2010 Mourvedre, Lodi, Ripken 750ml 3-Pack
A Rhone varietal which originated in Spain, also known as Mataro and Monastrell, this Mourvedre from Lodi is a testament to the goodness that this varietal has to offer: intense garnet colored berries transformed into a rich and velvety wine with aromas of forest floor and leather and taste components of dark red fruits (particularly plums, currants, and cherries), with a subtle gaminess tinged with truffles. Their skins are particularly high in antioxidants, which allow for better aging despite its relatively supple tannins. A mouthful of deep, rich fruit with hints of cedar, coffee, and sweet cherry-vanilla saturate the mid-palate, while a meatiness with dried currants and sage lead to a sweet vanilla oak finish. Excellent with aged cheeses and as a first course pairing with savory appetizers.
2009 CabShiraz Blend, El Dorado Co Pleasant Hill 750ml 3-Pack
Approximately 43% Syrah from Brentwood, California's Field of Dreams Vineyard brings juicy blueberries and spicy cloves to this blend. Hailing from El Dorado County the nearly 57% Cabernet Sauvignon yields dark blackberries and velvety tannins. Enjoy this wine with any red meat dish, grilled barbecue fare, even spicy Mexican food, like Fajitas.
