Those allspice, fig, cherry, violet, blackberry flavors are still as muscular and lively as the superheroes on its labels. But a splash of port gives this 2006 California Zinfandel a summery character, leaning slightly toward a semi-dry vibe (but not getting all the way there). What the hell: we’re gonna go ahead and recommend that you drink it slightly chilled. You only go ‘round once, right?
Kansans, it’s the perfect thing for floating down the Verdigris River, or toasting the World’s Largest Ball of Twine, or sampling the delights on offer in the fleshpots of Topeka.
