Produced in the Italian old world, food friendly style. This wine is a delicious balance of earthy and savory aromas with flavors of fresh, ripe blackberries and raspberries. Notes of cola and red licorice flow into a flavorful, lingering finish.

Vineyard/Vintage Notes: 44% Spinetta Vineyard, 24% Manby Vineyard, 16% Vineyard 1869 and 16% Rattlesnake Ridge Syrah. Grown on steep mountainous terrain in the higher elevations of the Shenandoah Valley of Amador County, California. With generally moderate temperatures and adequate precipitation, the grapes are able to thrive during the warm summer months. In addition to the climate and precipitation, Barbera is also adaptable to many soil types, but thrives best in soils usually considered “poor” or in the case of Italy and Amador County, decomposed granite and volcanic soil.
