We’re partial to Northwest wines here, you know. We even briefly attempted to market our own wines featuring names that truly embody the unique characteristics of this region, such as ...
-Sequim Dreams Syrah
-Eternal Drizzle Blend
-Barnacle Barolo
-Snail Mating Season Merlot
-Ew I Just Stepped On Some Snails That Were Doing It Cabernet
-Marshawn Merlot
-Unkempt Beard Barolo
-Rickets Riesling
Ross Andrew Winery went in a different direction with this PN, it seems. Rather than selecting a name that implies sogginess, Ross Andrew places greater emphasis on delivering a silky smooth wine with a long, lingering finish.
Maybe there’s a lesson in that for us. Maybe Everything's Rusty Riesling was doomed from the beginning.

2011 Ross Andrew Winery Pinot Noir, Lachini Vineyard 750ml 3-Pack
Aromatics: The 2011 vintage was incredible is this part of the Willamette Valley and the resulting wine highlights just that. Seamless aromatics of fresh earth, spice and cherry get things started.
Palate: There is a wonderful brightness to the texture and palate of this wine. It is silky smooth with an incredibly long finish. A truly special wine.
From an extraordinary vineyard that is managed biodynamically (think organic on steroids paired with a little voodoo, magic and over-the-top management where only hyper-organic practices are employed). From the warmer Chehalem Mountain/Ribbon Ridge area of the Willamette Valley. This is a beautiful wine. Extremely limited.

Ross Andrew Winery
Founded in 1999 by Ross Andrew Mickel and his family, Ross Andrew Winery is a Seattle, Washington-based winery producing singularly distinctive, premium red and white wines from Washington and Oregon. Fruit sources include some of the most unique and acclaimed vineyards across the Columbia Valley (Columbia Gorge, Red Mountain, Horse Heaven Hills) and Willamette Valley AVAs.
“The path the grapes follow from vineyard to bottle is critical. Start with great grower partnerships for the best possible fruit, and in the winery treat the grapes with the attention and respect they deserve from the moment they arrive. Attend to each and every barrel. Toss in a little magic. That’s it.”
