R2 Wines' love of Old World white wines is expressed in their Vin Blancs. The rolling hills of Santa Barbara County provide the perfect balance of warm sunshine and the cooling effect from the Pacific Ocean for growing Rhone style varietals. This Vin Blancs is a blend of Viognier (80%), Roussanne (16%) and Grenache Blanc (4%). Floral notes of honeysuckle and citrus blossom mesh perfectly with nectarine and peach, while the mid palate brings layers of more stone fruit, minerality and toasted honey. Crisp and clean with bright acidity the wine has the hallmark floral aromatics and supple mouth feel.   The lush mouth feel and bracing acidity provide the perfect balance to the wine.

2010 Grenache Blanc, Santa Ynez Valley 750ml 2-Pack

With only a hundred acres of the varietal planted in California, this is a wine that is sure to please.  Pale straw in color, the nose opens up with green apple, lemon and minerals to melon and stone fruit as it warms a little in the glass.  So vibrant in the mouth, the wine has lovely citrus notes along with luscious depth and texture.  This is a wine that could be consumed in copious amounts all summer long.
