It was the '90s. Everyone sounded like this.

All this time Scott Weiland was singing about wine, huh?

And I feel this wine's delicious so
So why ya waitin' til tomorrow?
And I see that there are wines to come
So would you ship 'em here?

And I'll drink it
And I'll drink it

What ya think of this Pinot?
What ya think of this wine I found?
And I feel, and I feel
When the shipment finally gets here
Will I drink alone?

And I feel so much depends on the pricing
But it's not cheaper anywhere else
And I see that these are the wines they sell today
Are you in for three?

And I'll drink it
And she'll drink it

What ya think of this Pinot?
What ya think of this wine I found?
And I feel, and I feel
When the shipment finally gets here
Will I drink alone?

When the wine does get here
Got time, time to drink it tomorrow
To drink it, to drink it, to drink it
When the wine does get here
Got time, time to drink it tomorrow
To drink it, to drink it, to drink it

A rich essence of fresh Bing cherries, pomegranate, blueberry with hints of cola, oak and anise. Beautifully crafted and very polished. This wine has a proportioned tannic backbone, bright acidity and an appealing silky finish. It will benefit from another year in the bottle but is very approachable now. Drink through 2016.

Plush Wine Company’s main function is to introduce oenophiles to the luxury of Oregon’s Willamette Valley and more specifically, Willamette Valley Pinot Noir.  We craft premium wines year in and year out, knowing the wines we make will express the unique terroir of our selected vineyard sites throughout the Willamette Valley, Oregon.

Growing
Plush Wine Company knows that the first place to begin is in the vineyard. Every quality of the vineyard is important, from the optimum sun exposure and annual rainfall to the low-fertility and well-drained soils. Each quality provides its own uniqueness to the grapes and is vital in producing a great product. These qualities can be truly appreciated through our hand-crafted wines.

Harvesting
Once the grapes have reached their optimum ripeness, they are harvested in the cool morning hours. They are picked by hand and placed into bins in order to avoid bruising and premature crushing of the fruit. They are transported from the selected vineyards, to the winery, where they are then hand-sorted prior to being de-stemmed just before entering the fermenters.

Fermentation/ Winemaking
After the grapes go into the fermentation vessels, the temperature is lowered using specially designed cooling jackets. Here, the grapes are allowed to "soak" for several days. Afterward, the temperature is raised and fermentation of the sugars begins and continues for approximately 7-10 days. Following fermentation, the wine is allowed to remain in contact with the skins for additional time in order to extract more color and flavor from the skins. This process is called maceration. Following maceration the wine is drained off of the skins and it is racked to empty French oak barrels. Here the wine is aged.

Cellaring
Plush Wine Company uses French oak barrels for cellaring its wines accompanied by a few stainless steel barrels to preserve the brightness of the fruit. How much new French oak the wine will be exposed to will vary depending on the how the wine is destined to be bottled. Reserve wines will typically be introduced to more new French oak. Other wines will require lower amounts depending on the style and variety of the wine. Ultimately, the winemaking team will regularly taste the wines in barrel to monitor the development. It is in the final steps that it is determined which lots will be selected for our Reserve blend.
