Sun, soil, fog and magic.

Mixed Whites, yes, but everyone is welcome to this party.

Just look at you. My little 2013 Dry Rosé of Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley - all grown up. You look just as crisp and rosy as your mother did when she was your age. You’ll be quite the knockout at the party, I’m sure. But before your four little Friends get here to take you there, I thought maybe we could have a bit of a chat.

So your mother told me there’s going to be four bottles of 2013 Sauvignon Blanc East Side Vineyard Dry Creek Valley at the party, too. Now, hold on, before you get all “it’s no big deal” on me, just hear me out. See, I was young and aromatic with lime and lemongrass and honey notes just like they are once. I know what it’s like to be full of richly layered grapefruit, green apple and honeydew flavors. I also know that bright acidity isn’t the ONLY thing on their minds at this age.

Honey, please, I’m not trying to embarrass you! I just want to, you know, be careful. You’re a lovely 2013 Dry Rosé of Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley. You have flavors of cherry, vanilla, and red berries, and so naturally they’re going to be interested in getting to know you. I just don’t want you to rush into anything. I know it’s just a party but, I swear, if I hear that one of those Sauvignon Blancs got you to mingle in the same glass as him, I just don’t know what I’ll do!

Okay, fine. I know I’m being overprotective. I should trust you more than I’m doing so now. That’s fine. Your mother told me I need to learn to let go, so I’ll let go. Go to your party. Enjoy yourself. BE CAREFUL. And if any of those punks come near you with a corkscrew, you call home. Daddy will have a baseball bat waiting.

Features

2013 Dry Rosé of Zinfandel, Signature Selection, Sonoma County, Dry Creek Valley 750ml 4-Pack

Fresh aromas of rose petals and sweet strawberry jam meet in the bouquet. Cherry, vanilla and red berry flavors are highlighted in our Rosé. The wine is balanced with crispness and a refreshing fruity finish. This potpourri of flavors over time will take on a jammy element but don’t wait too long—rosés are made to be enjoyed upon release.

Signature Selection: We have been producing our Rosé since the 1954 vintage. A name change in 2007 helped to define our style and set it apart from the lighter and sweeter White Zinfandel. Grapes for our Dry Rosé of Zinfandel were harvested from the Pedroncelli estate along with fruit from one other vineyard. The area’s well-drained rocky soils, hillsides, and excellent microclimate enable Zinfandel to develop generous fruit flavors. The grapes were picked in the first two weeks of September which imparts higher acidity and less sugar and gives the wine crispness and lower alcohol.

2013 Sauvignon Blanc, East Side Vineyards, Sonoma County, Dry Creek Valley 750ml 4-Pack

Aromatic with lemon grass, lime and honey notes. The flavors are layered with zesty grapefruit, green apple and honeydew melon. Our Sauvignon Blanc is tart-sweet and quite refreshing. Please enjoy upon release or within a year or two as no aging is required.

Vineyard Sources: Dry Creek Valley has a wonderful pedigree for growing Sauvignon Blanc, developing great fruit characteristics as well as bright acidity. We sourced three vineyards for this vintage: our estate vineyards as well as two neighboring vineyards on the east side of Dry Creek. Each vineyard’s microclimate combines sun, soil and fog to retain ripe fruit and crisp flavor. Add these components to the special care and attention from the vineyard crew and the resulting wine is a great reflection of terroir—wherein the sum is greater than the parts.

2013 Friends White, Sonoma County White Wine 750ml 4-Pack

At Pedroncelli, wine is second nature to us. We love to entertain and share our stories over an easy-drinking glass of white wine. The friendships that develop are more important than the varietal or the shape of the glass. Here’s to friends!

A rich floral nose with tropical fruit, honey and citrus notes both in the bouquet as well as the flavor. Fresh, crisp and flavorful, a white wine that tastes great on its own or with your meal.

Vineyard Sources: All sourced within Sonoma County, we searched for the highest quality fruit. From our friendly neighborhood growers - the blend puts all the best into the bottle.

2013 Dry Rosé of Zinfandel, Signature Selection, Sonoma County, Dry Creek Valley 750ml 4-Pack

Winemaking: Over the years, we have refined our approach when it comes to the style of our Dry Rosé. The focus is on crisp acidity and true varietal character allowing the fresh Zinfandel flavors to shine. The near-perfect growing season gave the fruit good concentration of aromas and flavors. Our Rosé is made by combining free run juice with 50% saigne (juice which was drawn from the fermenting tank). Fermentation is finished in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. Even though we make it in a dry style, the wine retains a hint of sweetness because of the fruitiness of the Zinfandel grape. Bottled a few months after harvest, the wine captures the freshness of the vintage.

  • Appellation: Dry Creek Valley
  • Barrel Aging: None
  • Alcohol: 13.2%
  • pH: 3.43
  • Total Acidity: .600g/100mg

2013 Sauvignon Blanc, East Side Vineyards, Sonoma County, Dry Creek Valley 750ml 4-Pack

Winemaking: Perfect growing conditions during the summer accelerated the ripening of the grapes and we began harvesting Sauvignon Blanc on August 23d. Excellent quality, high intensity of aromas and balanced acids in the fruit. Once crushed and gently pressed into temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks the juice was chilled to 55 degrees to slow the fermentation and retain delicate varietal nuances. The wine is bottled a few months after harvest without oak aging or malo-lactic fermentation. We continue to create this Sauvignon Blanc to capture freshness and showcase the luscious Sonoma County fruit.

  • Appellation: Dry Creek Valley
  • Barrel Aging: None
  • Alcohol: 13.9%
  • pH: 3.28
  • Total Acidity: .675g/100mg

Pedroncelli Family
Founded:
1927

Sonoma, CA

The year was 1927. President Calvin Coolidge captured the imagination of nobody. Babe Ruth hit home run after home run powered by little more than whiskey and sausage. And John Pedroncelli, Sr. bought a vineyard and winery in Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma County. Since then, four generations of Pedroncellis have weathered Prohibition, wine booms and busts, and changing tastes. And they’re still a family-owned operation making acclaimed premium wines. Wherever you are now, Sultan of Swat and Silent Cal, this next glass is for you.
