Mustache Vineyards is an unconventional wine that does not take itself too seriously and will bring a little fun in your life. The grapes come from vineyards that benefit from the deep and rich soils that make-up the Lodi Appellation. The fruit benefits from warm sunny days and cool nights as a result of gentle breezes coming from the San Francisco Bay and the Delta waterways. This allows the fruit to mature and have a proper balance between fruit character and structure.

2013 Mustache Cabernet Sauvignon, Lodi 750ml 3-Pack

The wine is more intense with darker violet hues. The aromas have characteristics of blackberry, cassis, and plum; with elements of vanilla and cedar. The wine has a fuller body with flavors of darker fruits coupled with peppercorn, clove and anise, which lend an earthier profile that is balanced and has a long finish. This wine would go well with grilled salmon with a dill butter sauce, roasted chicken with garlic and rosemary, or rib eye Philly cheese steak sandwich.

2013 Mustache Zinfandel, Lodi 750ml 3-Pack

The wine has a deep red apple color. The aromas are fruit forward with candied raspberry and strawberry mixed with darker fresh fruits and subtle vanilla undertones. The wine has a full body with flavors of bright red raspberry, and cherry blended with jammy strawberry and a cocoa powder finish. The wine has several layers of fruit, soft tannin structure and along finish with balanced acidity. This wine would pair well with carnitas street tacos with caramelized onions and cilantro, Peking duck with steamed buns, or grilled sausage with peppers and onions on a French Roll.

2012 Mustache Merlot, Lodi 750ml 3-Pack

The wine is bright like a bright cherry red balloon. The aromas bring thoughts of fresh Bing cherry, raspberry, and strawberry combined with slight notes of vanilla and leather. It is medium bodied, with nice layers of berry fruit, soft approachable tannins, and earthy structure with a good finish from balanced acidity; all of which lend themselves to good food and a good time. This wine could easily pair with barbeque ribs in a whiskey barbeque sauce, pork medallions with apricot compote, or simple grilled skirt steak and French fries.

Aromas of fresh and tart cherries, with some soft earthy undertones. The palate is layered with fresh bright cherries and has slight hints of toasty oak notes. The finish is soft, elegant and delicious.
